A driving force for Salisbury

| All The Sevens

When taxi driver Gary Taylor decided to use his ten years’ experience working for other companies and launch his own business he vowed he would make customer service his driving force.

Gary, 38, is determined that things would be different at All the Sevens taxi service in Salisbury so he makes sure his drivers are content, that way the customers would be too.

While most other companies charge their drivers a fixed rental, which they have to pay no matter how many fares they earn, All the Sevens ask their drivers to pay a booking fee per journey on a fair pay as you go system.

Gary’s drivers are all local to the area so customers can rely on their excellent local knowledge and years of experience to get them to where they want to go. They are all trained in customer service to the highest national standards because Gary believes looking after passengers is the best way to grow his business.

Gary confirmed this by saying: “Being a trainer for the World Host Customer Service programme I take every booking personally and take pride in our ability to keep our customers happy”

Also the company does not take school run bookings so drivers aren’t tied up at the busiest points of the day. That’s good news for customers because it means they won’t have a frustrating wait at any point in the day.

Gary commented: “We started the business to fill a gap in the market during the morning rush hour. It soon became evident that there was a real need and so the strategic decision was made to continue in the same way”

But don’t just take his word for it, the company’s own figures prove it is working. When he launched All the Sevens last April it took 40 phone calls in the first week, by December it had increased to 5,000 calls per month.

Not that Gary is resting on his laurels. The hard-working boss, who regularly turns his hand to all aspects of the business from driving to bookings, marketing and finance, says: “We continue to improve our service continuously, we have recently relaunched our website to raise our company profile as well as being an active presence on the social media networks. Our customers are important to us and we believe in the personal approach.”

Keep an eye out around the city for All the Sevens’ distinctive livery and next time you need a safe, reliable and value for money taxi service, remember this number.
